Yellow Card appoints former Monzo executive Ross Everett as CFO

African digital asset infrastructure company Yellow Card has appointed Ross Everett as group chief financial officer as it expands its stablecoin-based payments and treasury services internationally.

Everett joins Yellow Card after a career spanning banking and financial technology, including a stint as group financial controller at British digital bank Monzo. He has also held roles at Deutsche Bank, Barclays and KPMG.

In his new role, Everett will oversee Yellow Card’s global finance operations, including financial planning, reporting, treasury, capital management and financial governance, the company said in a statement.

“Having spent a significant part of my career building the financial discipline behind hypergrowth, my focus now is building the same foundations at Yellow Card, so the company can scale globally without losing that rigor,” Everett said.

The appointment follows Yellow Card’s $40 million strategic funding round, which the company said will support its expansion into Latin America and the Asia-Pacific region.

Yellow Card, founded in 2019, provides infrastructure for businesses to access U.S. dollars, manage treasury and make cross-border payments using stablecoins and traditional currencies.

The company says it supports more than 50 currencies and has customers including Visa and Western Union.

Yellow Card co-founder and Chief Executive Chris Maurice said Everett’s experience would help the company strengthen its financial operations as stablecoin infrastructure expands.

The company did not disclose Everett’s compensation or other financial terms of the appointment.
