East African Breweries Ltd (EABL) said on Wednesday that its Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director, Risper Genga Ohaga, will step down on June 30, 2026, to pursue opportunities outside the group.
Ohaga has served as EABL’s CFO since February 2020, guiding the company through the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent recovery.
During her tenure, she strengthened the company’s balance sheet, enhanced governance and financial controls, improved investor relations, and built a robust finance team. Under her leadership, EABL’s finance function also received multiple financial reporting awards.
Ohaga is a recognized figure in business and sustainability circles and has been active in industry initiatives through the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK). She has received several accolades, including CFO of the Year 2024, Women on Boards Award 2024, and the Inclusive Leader Award – East Africa 2024.
The EABL board said it will announce her replacement in due course.
