Java House expands to Ruaka & Eldoret, growing 102-store network

Java House, East Africa’s casual dining brand, has opened two new full-service branches in Ruaka, Kiambu County, and Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, as it seeks to capture increased holiday travel traffic.

The Eldoret outlet, located along the busy Eldoret-Kisumu highway, strengthens Java House’s presence in the North Rift, a commercial hub with heavy transit flows. The Ruaka branch serves one of Kiambu County’s fastest-growing urban centers, providing modern dining spaces for families and community gatherings.

“These branches bring the Java experience closer to our customers. Eldoret covers a key transit corridor, while Ruaka has become a vibrant hub for families and communities,” Java House Group CEO Priscilla Gathungu said during the Ruaka ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The openings bring Java House’s total footprint to 102 outlets across East Africa, including 95 in Kenya, following the recent launch of the Mawanda branch in Kampala, Uganda. Both branches feature bright, open designs and support the brand’s festive season campaign, “That Kafestive Feeling,” emphasizing joy, convenience, and togetherness.

The expansion also underscores Java House’s commitment to local sourcing, job creation, and skills development in Kenya’s hospitality sector.
