Twiga Foods Limited has entered administration and Mohamed A. Mohamed of Maawiy Financial Advisory Limited has been appointed Administrator by the Board of Directors effective September 2026.
Templar Field Limited, formerly known as Twiga Foods Limited follows an earlier adminstration of one GT Flow Limited, another Twiga Foods subsidiary (formerly known as Twiga Foods One Limited), announced in 17 August 2026.
Mohamed A. Mohamed was appointed Administrator, for both factions, pursuant to section 541(2) of the Insolvency Act (Cap. 53).
“We will continue to engage with stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcome for all creditors,” said Mohamed.
Twiga Foods was founded in Nairobi in 2014 and built a business-to-business marketplace connecting farmers and food manufacturers with small and medium-sized retail vendors across Kenya, using a mobile-based, cashless supply platform to distribute fresh and dry goods more efficiently than the traditional informal supply chain.
With these appointments, the Administrator has taken control of the management of the assets and affairs of both companies. The powers of the directors to deal with or transact on behalf of the companies have ceased, except with the express permission of the Administrator.
Going forward, all matters relating to the affairs of Templar Field Limited and GT Flow Limited should be directed to the Administrator or his authorised representatives.
The primary objective of administration under the Insolvency Act is to achieve a better outcome for the companies’ creditors than would otherwise be likely if the companies were wound up. The Administrator will engage with all key stakeholders of both companies to secure their cooperation in achieving the best possible outcome.
Anyone with a claim against either company is asked to submit full particulars of that claim, together with supporting documentation, within 30 days of this notice, for inclusion in the company’s roll of creditors.
